Connecting You To Calgary

Though Calgary is a metropolis of more than 1.3 million people, it has a friendly, welcoming atmosphere that will make you feel right at home. It’s a place that’s rooted in community, as more than half of residents are involved in volunteering! It’s also a highly multicultural city, with 120 languages spoken, making it Canada’s third most diverse major city. With a median age of 37 years, Calgary is also full of energetic spirit. The Rocky Mountains were named one of the best areas to move to based on affordability, and in 2022, Calgary was ranked the world’s third most livable city by the Economist Intelligence Unit. And we think that’s a title this city definitely lives up to.

A city of opportunity

Boasting seven post-secondary institutions including The University of Calgary, Mount Royal University, Southern Alberta Institute of Technology, St. Mary’s University, and Alberta University of The Arts, Calgary is home to a highly-educated, youthful workforce which greatly contributes to the local prosperity. Many graduates remain in the city because of the abundance of job opportunities. Entrepreneurship is a defining characteristic of Calgary, and it’s home to one of the most diverse economies in Canada. This is one reason why many people from eastern provinces also choose to move to—and stay in—the city.

A city with soul

For residents who love hitting the town, Calgary is a great place to explore entertainment and culture. From the museums, casinos, and number of venues which host events including live music and NHL games, to the booming micro-brewery and culinary scene, there’s no shortage of things to do in the city. The most notable event is the annual Calgary Stampede. It’s a vibrant celebration that unites the community, is centred around a rodeo, and features a cultural exhibition including festivals and live music.

A city connected to nature

Calgary is a thriving cosmopolitan, but its natural surroundings are one of the greatest amenities. Winding Bow and Elbow rivers—along with the number of ponds throughout Calgary—bring a welcome serenity to the city, while Glenmore Reservoir (a large body of water in southwest Calgary) is surrounded by greenspaces that feature hiking paths and trails immersing residents in an urban oasis. North America’s longest urban pathway system at almost 1,000 km is in Calgary, and just one hour west of the city are the mighty Rocky Mountains and stunning Banff National Park.

For us, it’s not about the transaction.
