West Springs

Located just north of Aspen Woods, West Springs is a charming community known for its picturesque surroundings and family-friendly atmosphere.

One of the standout features of West Spring is the incredible access to recreational activities. Active families can explore nearby parks, take advantage of the community tennis courts, or hit the slopes at Canada Olympic Park during the winter months. 

As one of Calgary’s top destinations for families, the neighbourhood features excellent schools, including West Springs School and St. Joan of Arc School. It is also home to the Calgary French and International School, which ranks as one of the top destinations for bilingual and International Baccalaureate learning in all of Western Canada. Catering to students of all ages, they offer a robust French immersion program from Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 12.

Signal Hill

One of Calgary’s better-known neighbourhoods, Signal Hill is a quaint community that’s long been popular with families.

One of the primary reasons for the neighbourhood’s popularity is the sheer degree of convenience. In addition to public and private schools, the neighbourhood is also home to Ambrose University, a well-regarded post-secondary school that places a strong emphasis on faith-based learning. 

Discovery Ridge

Discovery Ridge is a unique neighbourhood that combines relaxed suburban living with a deep connection to nature. Located just steps from the gorgeous Griffith Woods Park, a sprawling natural reserve that provides a serene escape from the hustle and bustle of city life, this community is perfect for families who appreciate the great outdoors. 

Discovery Ridge is known for its spacious, well-designed homes, making it a top choice for families looking for a comfortable living space. While there are no schools located directly within the neighbourhood, there are a handful of top education options just a short drive or bus ride away.
