Where is Signal Hill?

Right next door to one of Calgary’s most recognizable landmarks and surrounded by a number of essential roadways, Signal Hill’s location is one of its most noteworthy qualities. If you’ve never visited Signal Hill before, there’s a good chance you’ve at least driven by it.

In terms of boundaries, Signal Hill stretches east to west between Sarcee Trail and 69 Street SW. On the south end of the community, you’ve got Highway 201 right where it meets Glenmore Trail. From there, Signal Hill extends north to 17 Avenue SW.

In addition to being scenic, Signal Hill’s southwest location also makes it an incredibly convenient place to live.

Whether you’re headed towards the mountains, downtown, or elsewhere in the city, you’ve got direct access to main roads and highways (including direct access to the Stoney Trail ring road) plus C-Train service via Sirocco Station (at 17th Ave and Sirocco Drive) and 69 Street Station. By car, Signal Hill is about 11 minutes from downtown.

Fun fact: Signal Hill is actually Calgary’s highest residential neighbourhood, just shy of 1,200 metres in elevation. This means you get great views in every direction.
